  • What are your trading hours?
    We are open for fresh selections daily from 9am until 7pm. Cooked food is available from 11am until 7pm daily. Enjoy your meal on-site with a view of the water or take away.
  • Can I eat there?
    Yes, we have ample dining tables outside both undercover or in the open. You are also welcome to bring your own picnic blanket or fold up table. We are also ideally located near some of the Gold Coast's most beautiful beaches and parks - skip the cooking, grab some takeaway and head to The Spit for some beachfront dining! In 2025 we will be upgrading our facilities to a bigger and better Peter's Fish Market offering both indoor and outdoor shaded dining.
  • Is your seafood fresh?
    Yes. We are passionate about the quality and provenance of our seafood. We source our seafood from Australia, New Zealand and local tuna and prawn boats. Our fresh seafood arrives daily. We may at times also be supplied frozen seafood, which will be signed accordingly on display.
  • Where does your fish come from?
    Our 14 species of fillets on display are from Australia or NZ and local. We also source Bassa from Vietnam and Hoki from New Zealand.
  • Can I phone for an order?
    You most certainly can place a phone order. We are open from 9am and can be contacted on 07 5591 7747. Alternatively you can contact us at shop@petersfish.com.au. Please note if collection of your order is late it may not be as crisp as it should be. We recommend orders in store so you receive it as freshly cooked as possible.
  • How do I order for special occasions?
    For Christmas, we take orders for seafood from the December 1st, to be collected on the 24th of December via our website www.petersfish.com.au. You can also call the shop and order over the phone or visit us in-store to place your order. Please note a deposit is required at the time of placing your booking. For orders outside this time, please contact us via phone or tech@petersfish.com.au so that we can let you know our availability and prices specific to your needs.
  • Do you have covid safe practices in place?
    Yes. We practice ongoing safe covid measures and stringently adhere to Occupational Health and Safety Standards.
  • Do you cater for gluten intolerances?
    We offer gluten free fish and seafood by way of grilling. Please specify that you require your order to be gluten free at the time of ordering. While our chips are gluten free, we cannot guarantee that there is absolutely no cross contamination between cooking stations.
  • What is your fish of the day?
    When ordering fish of the day you are given a choice, Bassa which is from Vietnam or Hoki which is from New Zealand. You can also request one or the other as you order.
  • What happens if something is missing from my order?
    While we have stringent quality control systems in place, sometimes mistakes do happen. If you have opened your order at home only to discover some of it is missing we do sincerely apologise. Please keep your receipt and take a photograph of your order and email shop@petersfish.com.au where we will process a refund of the missing part of your order. If your order is incomplete in store, please don't hesitate to let staff or management know so that they can rectify the issue for you immediately.
  • Is there parking?
    Yes. When you turn onto our private road you can either follow the road around to the back of the "Shed" where carparks are clearly marked, or park in the middle car park which is located between the Shed and Market. We also open up the paddock next door for parking on busy days.
